President
Ella Boario
Ella is a Senior studying Marketing and Media Studies. Ella has held the role in AMA as the Director of Membership, for the past two years, this year she holds the role of the president. Over the summer Ella completed an internship at TEKsystems gaining sales experience. Ella’s favorite memory of AMA was the trip she took to New Orleans for a conference with other board members.
Vice President
Nolan Wiedmeyer
Nolan Wiedmeyer is a senior at UWL, and stands as the Vice President of UW-LAX AMA. He is majoring in Marketing and is a social media intern for a local Lax business. Nolan’s favorite memory in AMA was attending the annual ICC conference in NOLA last year.
Director Of Communications
Sydney Hammock
Sydney is a senior at UWL, and is our director of communications. She is majoring in Marketing and minoring in Political Science. Sydney shares passion in the creativity side of marketing and enjoys implementing her ideas into AMA's social media. She is interning as the Digital Marketing Intern at Mueller Photography. Sydney’s favorite aspect of AMA is the networking and professionalism building workshops. She is looking forward to building even more connections and having a great year in AMA.
Director of Finance
Payton Scharl
Payton is a Finance major with a minor in Legal Studies, set to graduate in December 2024. Carter Sexton will be taking over the position once she graduates. Originally from Sheboygan, WI, Payton is currently the Legal Intern at Kwik Trip, Inc., headquartered in La Crosse. She been an active member of AMA since her freshman year, and is incredibly grateful for the opportunities and experiences it has provided.
Director of Fundraising
Jared Engelkes
Jared Engelkes is a senior at UWL, and is currently Director of Fundraising for AMA. He is an Accounting and Management major with a Sustainable Business minor. His favorite memory about AMA was going to New Orleans for the American Marketing Association International Collegiate Conference.
Director of Community Service
MiKenna Plaisted
MiKenna is a senior studying Business Management. As the Director of Community Service, she plans and coordinates all of the community service events throughout the school year. MiKenna's favorite AMA memory is joining the executive board because she got to become more involved in the club and meet so many new people!
Director of Socials
Ryan Papacek
Ryan Papacek is a senior majoring in Marketing. He is the Director of Socials, which includes reaching out to local businesses and planning events for our club members to socialize with each other in a relaxed setting. After graduation, he has plans of moving to the Twin Cities area to work in outside sales. Ryan's favorite AMA memory is putting together his first social at Howie's!
Director of Membership
Haley Friedrich
Haley is a senior majoring in Marketing with a minor in German studies. Haley is the Director of Membership where she helps with recruitment events, tracking attendance, and assisting others in planning events. She is super excited to be on the executive board and be apart of the exciting upcoming AMA events this year!
Director of Internal Events
Emma Wideman
Emma is a junior double majoring in Communication Studies and English with a minor in Business Administration. She is currently the Director of Internal Events. Within this role, she coordinates and organizes all of AMA’s guest speaker events by collaborating with professionals. Emma’s favorite AMA memory was attending the AMA International Collegiate Conference in New Orleans. During this conference she was able to expand her network and learn valuable skills to apply to the UWL AMA chapter.
Director of External Events
Carter Sexton
Carter is a Senior studying Finance and Statistics. He is the Director of External Events for AMA this year, coordinating the larger outside events our chapter holds. Carter currently works at GPC (Gillette Pepsi Companies) as a finance intern. He hopes to start a rotational Finance or Commercial Underwriting program after graduation. Carter’s favorite AMA memory was attending the AMA International Collegiate Conference in New Orleans.
Director of Business Management
Ana Kielley
Ana is a Senior studying Business Management. She is the Director of Business Development for AMA this year, running the Campus Cakes program. Ana has been working at Citizens State Bank this year as a Human Resource intern. Her favorite AMA memory is the Howie’s Social as well as meeting all the amazing members!
